Event Description:
Oral Interpretation- Rounds will alternate between prose and poetry with the order determined at the opening assembly. All competitors in this event must prepare both Prose and Poetry selections in order to compete. One or two pieces of literature may be used as long as they have a common theme. An introduction and linking passages (if necessary) are appropriate, but they should not constitute more than 20% of the presentation. Essays, songs, speeches, and song lyrics are prohibited. There is a 10 minute time limit.
