Congressional Debate Schedule

Congress legislation: Listed below are the items we will be debating from the TFA docket:

Per the TFA constitution, the agenda is now pre-set by the tournament and does not need to be adopted in opening business in each chamber. After the PO election, the chamber can simply start debating the first item.

The chamber may not amend the docket or adopt one other than what has been specified by the tournament. Before an item is tabled or moved to previous question, at least one affirmative and one negative speech must be given on that item.

Prelims - Items 15, 16, and 23, in that order

Semis - Items 4, 10, and 26, in that order

Finals - Items 1, 3, and 11, in that order

To faciliate this schedule, preliminary sessions will be kept at 8-9 competitors.

Friday, October 20

4:30pm Initial Check in, Elect Presiding Officer

4:45pm Preliminary Session

6:45-7:15pm End of Preliminary Session

7:30pm Semifinal Session

Saturday, October 21

8:00am. Final Session

The chamber will be configured in such a way that Congressional debaters will be able to double enter in the Extemp events.
