I have been involved with speech and debate since my junior year of high school, and I am currently a second-year judge. In high school, I competed in several individual and debate events, and since my graduation, I have judged a variety of events. I also participate in Speech and Debate at the collegiate level. In Public Forum debate, I will be flowing and keeping track of the arguments made by the affirmative and the negative. If every argument is not addressed by a particular side, I will have difficulty awarding a number of points that is competitive with that of the side that attacks every argument. Likewise, in LD, it is essential that every contention is addressed; unaddressed contentions will be validated. Avoid spreading.
