Roseville Area High School is excited to host our second week of debate! We will be offering Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, and Congressional Debate. Both Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum will be offered at the Varsity, JV, and Novice levels; although we may collapse the top two divisions into one Open division based on the number of registrants. Please arrive by the tournament by 8 a.m., and check in online, by phone, or in person by 8:15.

We will be debating the below topics for Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum. Congressional bills will be posted the week of Monday, October 21, including two bills reserved for Super Congress.

LD - Resolved: The United States ought adopt a wealth tax.

Public Forum - Resolved: The United States should substantially reduce its military support of Taiwan.

Congress Schedule:

Session 1: 8:30-10:30

Session 2: 10:45-1:15 (LUNCH @ NOON for 30 minutes)

SuperCongress: 2:00-4:00

Awards for all: ASAP after 4 pm in the auditorium

Judging Obligations:

Schools are required to provide one judge per two entries (one public forum team is considered one entry) in LD and PF. If an odd number of entries are registered in LD or PF, you are required to bring an additional judge. Schools should provide one Congress judge per 5 congressional entries or fraction thereof.

The Roseville Hockey Team will host their annual pancake breakfast in the morning in the cafeteria! See link for information.

Other items will be available for purchase at a concessions stand during the tournament for breakfast and lunch. Coaches and judges will have food and refreshments provided in the judges lounge.
