Rosemount Irish Invitational

2024 — Rosemount, MN/US

Welcome to the Rosemount Irish Invitational. We look forward to hosting you on Saturday, Oct. 5. We will hold competition in LD, public forum, and congress.

Public forum, and JV and varsity LD, will debate the current national topics in those events. Novice LD will use the standing novice Sept.-Oct. topic, "Resolved: In the United States, national service ought to be mandatory."

It is our hope to offer single-flighted rounds in LD and PF. The tentative schedule is below. Please note, however, that we have only one building and therefore a limited number of rooms. If our entries get too high we will have to consider taking steps such as capping entries or returning to double-flighting. With that caveat noted, here is how I hope the day to run:

7:30 am Building opens

8:15 am Registration ends

8:30 am Congress Session 1

8:45 am LD/PF round 1

9:45 am LD/PF round 2

10:45 am Congress Session 2 (break mid-session for lunch at 11:45 am)

11:00 am LD/PF Round 3

11:45 am Congress lunch break (during Session 2; session resumes 12:15 pm)

12:15 pm LD/PF lunch break

1:00 pm LD/PF Round 4

2:00 pm Congress finals

2:15 pm LD/PF Round 5

4:45 pm Awards in the cafeteria
