The Iowa Caucus

2018 — Cedar Rapids, IA/US
Dear Debate Colleagues,

On behalf of Washington and Kennedy High Schools, the George Washington Debate Society, Kennedy Debate Team and the WHS and KHS Friends of Forensics, you and your debaters are cordially invited to attend the annual Iowa Caucus Debate Tournament to be held October 19th and 20th, 2018. The Caucus will offer debate competition in varsity and novice Policy Debate, varsity Public Forum, varsity Lincoln Douglas, varsity Congress, along with quad entry speech. We are pleased to be a Tournament of Champions qualifier at the semifinals level in varsity Policy Debate.

As usual, our awards for the 2018 Caucus will include the impressive George Washington busts for deep elim participants in policy as well as JFK themed awards in PF, LD, IE's and Congress. More than just great trophies, though, the Caucus tournament can promise high quality debate, good judging, great food, hospitality, and balmy October weather.
Furthermore, for those in the PF and LD divisions, we will be bringing the Challenge Round Robin to Cedar Rapids! More information on the format and how to apply can be found on the appropriate tab.
Further information can be found on the respective tabroom pages. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you!
 Sincerely,
