The Ridge High School Speech and Debate Team is proud to announce our inaugural Speech Festival for Middle School students to be held on Friday, May 20th, in Basking Ridge.   We plan to offer a very educational and rewarding event for all middle school students.

Pending entry numbers, we will offer three rounds (2 preliminary and one final) of competition in a variety of speech events, including both prepared and limited-prepared.

Tournament Highlights:

• Awards to the top six students in each event!
• Certificates for all participating students!
• All judges will be members of the New Jersey State Champion Ridge Forensics Team, including several state champions and finalists! 
• Students may enter in one or two events.  Public Forum debaters may not double- enter.
• Student, coaches, and parents will have an opportunity to see several of our state champion performances during the dinner break!

Registration/Tournament Information:

• $10 per student. $20 per debate team.  Pizza/Drinks and other concessions will be available for purchase.
• Registration will begin at 3:00pm with opening announcements at 4:00pm.
• We hope to have awards completed by 8:00pm.
