Yes, Session 1 will begin on Friday, 2 October 2020, at 4:00 PM, and Session 2 will begin on Saturday, 3 October 2020, at 2:00 PM. This schedule change accommodates students taking the SAT on Saturday morning.

You will download the placard form from Tabroom, fill out your name, print it, and display it during the competition.

IS POETRY AN ASYNCHRONOUS EVENT?

Poetry was inadvertently left off the list of asynchronous events on the Main Page. It has been added.

MAY VARSITY EXTEMPERS ENTER EXTEMPORANEOUS SPEAKING?

Last year, WVSDA voted to allow varsity extempers to compete in Extemporaneous Speaking at the Novice Tournament. The definition of "Novice" has been updated on the Main Page to reflect this change.

HOW DOES DOUBLE ENTRY WORK?

The rule restricting students from entering more than one event in Section A and one event in Section B will apply only to the synchronous events for which rounds will be held on Saturday, 10 October. A student may enter any two asynchronous events OR any asynchronous event and synchronous event regardless of what sections they ordinarily would be in. Effectively, this means a student may not enter more than one of the following: Impromptu Speaking, Broadcasting, or Public Forum Debate - nor one of the following: Extemporaneous Speaking and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Otherwise, there is no Section-driven double-entry limit.

WHAT IS THE WVSDA MEMBERSHIP FEE?

$35, not $25. This information was update on the Main Page and in the Constitution/Bylaws.
