Judging

ALL schools are required to have a Campus representative at the tournament at all times. Campus representatives are expected to in the Judges/Coaches lounge in Classrooms.cloud at ALL times during the tournament when not actively judge a round. Schools failing to meet this requirement may have their students removed from the tournament. 

Judge obligations are as follows: 

CX/WSD Debate – 1 judge per 2 teams

PF/LD Debate – 1 judge per 4 teams

Congress – 1 judge per 10 entries

IE and Extemp – 1 judge per 10 entries

The fee for missing judges is $125. All judges MUST have a tabroom account and MUST know how to utilize tabroom. It is the responsibility of the school to ensure that their judges are tabroom trained AND that they understand the rules and nature of the event that they are judging. Schools whose judges do not meet this criterion during the tournament may have their judges removed and may be charged a judge fee.

Due to the schedule we are using, judges MAY NOT enter into more than one pool. However, we MAY call on a judge in the pool to shift over to a different pool for a timeslot or for the duration of the tournament, depending on tournament needs.
