Tournament Timeline

February 7, 2020: 

Arrival times:

If you arrive earlier than 2:45 you will have to wait on your busses as you will find the buildings rather full of students and the parking lot loaded with large yellow vehicles. Your busses may stage in the YMCA parking lot (305 Church Rd, Bethel Park, PA 15102) until our school busses have exited campus.

You may enter BPHS & IMS after 2:45pm.

You must confirm your entries by 3:30pm Friday.  Registration fees will be taken & recorded in person @ BPHS; name changes are to be done at the building where your event is being held. Any changes made after 3:30pm Friday will result in a $20 fine per change. We do not pair the rounds until the last possible moment; therefore, causing havoc while we are trying to assemble schematics and ballots and run opening assemblies can be costly for all.

We will begin BOTH opening assemblies ~3:40, so target registration before 3:30 so rounds can begin ~4:00.

Knowing in advance that debate is always a little more time than speech; we anticipate that Friday evening competition will be completed around 10pm.

February 8, 2020:

We plan to begin competition @ 8am (staggering rounds a bit to facilitate lunchtime ease). 

Lunch will be served at BPHS only, tickets are $6.  All elimination rounds will be held at BPHS.

Our awards ceremony will begin around 7pm (contingent on the progression of elimination rounds)
