Iowa Forensic League State Tournament

2019 — Iowa City, IA, IA/US

Awards and Nominations

Senior of the Year:  Please consider nominating up to two outstanding seniors (per school) for consideration for the Senior of the Year award.  Any adult may submit a nomination detailing the senior’s accomplishments, community service activities, and other positive characteristics that merit the award. Schools should coordinate nominations, however, as we will accept a maximum of two nominations per program.

Coach of the Year:  Please consider nominating a fantastic colleague who is deserving of the title Coach of the Year.  This person can be a head or assistant coach who represents the best of Iowa forensics.  Nominations can come from both students and adults.  Please encourage your students to be involved with this!

Executive Committee Nominations:  Coaches may self-nominate to serve on the IHSFL Executive Committee.  Please include a brief statement telling the membership about yourself and why you want to serve on the committee. Three seats are up for election this year.

The make-up of the current committee is as follows:  Dave McGinnis (president, WDM Valley), Jesse Meyer (CR Kennedy), Joe Rankin (Bettendorf), Jeremy Fitzpatrick (Johnston), and Warren Sprouse (CR Wash).

Term up in 2018: Joe Rankin. There will be one open seat on the committee.

All nominations should be e-mailed to Dave McGinnis at mcgin029@gmail.com by noon on Thursday, February 28. He will compile all of the nominations and send them out for voting.
