A Bill to Create a National Firearms Registry

1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

2 SECTION 1. A. The National Registry of Firearms Owners (NRFO) is hereby created.

3 B. All gun owners shall be required to register all firearms possessions in

4 the NRFO.

5 C. All firearm transfers and sales are required to be registered in the

6 NRFO.

7 SECTION 2. “Gun owners” shall be defined as individuals and organizations that own

8 firearms. “All firearms possessions” shall be defined as a complete list of

9 all guns, including serial numbers and address of the owner. “Gun

10 transfers” shall be defined as any transaction in which a gun is

11 transferred to another person, regardless of whether it is sold or gifted.

12 SECTION 3. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms shall oversee the

13 implementation of this legislation.

14 SECTION 4. This legislation shall take effect upon passage. The NRFO must be fully

15 operational by January 1, 2020.

A Bill to Curb Monopolies in Local Television

 

1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

2 SECTION 1. A. No entity can own more than one television station in a single media

3 market unless there are at least 8 independently owned television

4 stations within the market and one of the two stations owned is not

5 ranked among the top four stations in the market.

6 B. No entity can own multiple television stations if the cumulative reach

7 is greater than 40% of American households.

8 SECTION 2. “Entity” shall be defined as a corporation that holds majority ownership

9 in a media company. “Independently owned television stations” shall be

10 defined as television stations owned by different owners. “Media

11 market” shall be defined as a region that receives the same television

12 stations.

13 SECTION 3. The Federal Communications Commission shall oversee the enforcement

14 of this legislation.

15 SECTION 4. This legislation shall take effect on January 1, 2019.

16 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Bill to Legalize Safe Injection Sites

 

1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

2 SECTION 1. A. States and municipalities shall be permitted to open publicly-owned

3 and operated safe injection sites.

4 B. Federal law enforcement officers shall be banned from the premises of

5 these sites and all surveillance activities at these sites.

6 C. States and municipalities whose police departments make drug-related

7 arrests at safe injection sites shall lose all federal assistance for

8 combatting the opioid crisis.

9 SECTION 2. “Safe injection sites” shall be defined as locations where drug users can

10 inject drugs while supervised by medical professionals. “Surveillance

11 activities” shall include, but not be limited to, audio/video monitoring of

12 the sites, undercover entry into the sites, or presence of officers on the

13 premises of the sites.

14 SECTION 3. The United States Department of Justice shall oversee the

15 implementation of this legislation.

16 SECTION 4. This legislation shall take effect immediately upon passage.

17 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Bill to Guarantee Paid Parental Leave

 

1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

2 SECTION 1. All employers of United States workers must offer ten weeks of paid

3 parental leave to salaried employees who perform work within the

4 United States. Employers are prohibited from terminating or penalizing

5 any employees that choose to activate their paid parental leave.

6 SECTION 2. The amount of required paid parental leave shall be calculated as follows:

7 total earnings subject to Social Security payroll taxes over the 12-month

8 period would be divided by 52 to provide the weekly wage base; the

9 weekly leave benefit would then be calculated as 75% of the first $400 of

10 wages and 50% of any additional wages, up to the Social Security taxable

11 earnings cap. Employees shall be required to activate the paid leave

12 period within six weeks of a new child being born in their household.

13 SECTION 3. The Department of Labor shall be responsible for the implementation of

14 this legislation.

15 SECTION 4. The provisions of this legislation shall take effect as of January 1, 2020.

16 SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

















The School Safety and Prevention Act

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

SECTION 1. A. Every U.S public school will be required to employ a minimum of 3 student resource officers and 1 trained psychologist that are to remain on campus at all times during their contractional work hours.

B. $500 million will be distributed to underfunded schools, nationwide, in order to support subsection A.

SECTION 2. “Underfunded schools” are schools that are not able to pay for additional costs caused by this bill.

“Student Resource Officer” shall be defined as sworn law enforcement officers responsible for safety and crime prevention in schools without the ability to make arrests.

SECTION 3. The Department of Education shall oversee the funding and implementation of this legislation.

SECTION 4. This bill shall be passed by March 1 2019 in preparation for the 2019-2020 school year.

SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.











A Bill to Raise the Legal Drinking Age of Caffeinated Soda to Eighteen

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

  1. Section 1: The United States Government shall ban the dispencement of Soda to

any persons under the age of eighteen.

  1. Section 2: Caffeine is defined as a white, crystalline, bitter alkaloid,  usually

derived from coffee or tea: used in medicine chiefly as a nervous system

stimulant.

  1. Section 3: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will oversee the

enforcement of this bill.

  1. Section 4: This bill will go into effect in January of 2019.

  2. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and

  3. Void.


















A Resolution to Expand the Capital Punishment

1.   WHEREAS, not every state has the capital punishment as a possible sentence; and

2.   WHEREAS, this causes the issue of injustice for  victims of the heinous crimes including

3.                       murder; and

4.   WHEREAS, families are left with pain when someone they care for gets murdered and the

5.                      murderer gets to be alive and cared for in jail which costs the state 90,000

6.                      annually per person on average; and

7.   WHEREAS, the families will feel some sense of justice when the murder gets sentenced to

8.                       capital punishment;

9.   WHEREAS, these murderers are causing murders in the prisons itself when kept alive; and

10. WHEREAS, the cost of continuous appeals within states can amount to millions; so

11.                        be it therefore

12. RESOLVED, the congress here assembled shall make the recommendation that the judicial

13.                        court will mandate the death penalty will be sentenced in court when the jury

14.                        votes unanimously in a capital crime.
