Tarheel Forensic League State Championship
2018 — Southern Pines, NC/US
Congress Information
PRELIMINARY ROUND LEGISLATION
The preliminary docket will consist of ten pieces of legislation that would be debated in the United States Congress. To ensure neutral legislation that has not been debated locally this year anywhere in the state, the TFL Executive Committee has opted to use legislation written by NSDA. Access this year's preliminary session legislation at this link.
FINAL ROUND LEGISLATION
As has become TFL tradition, contestants in the final round of the TFL State Championship Tournament will be members of the North Carolina General Assembly. Bills and Resolutions will contain issues that would be debated by North Carolina state legislators. Students in finals should be very aware of current issues facing the state of North Carolina.
Here are the links to the three pieces of legislation that will be used in finals. All three pieces will be debated in the three hour session and the order will be determined by random draw of the TFL Committee.
