Awards/Committee Nominations

Senior of the Year:  Please consider nominating your outstanding seniors for consideration for the Senior of the Year award.  Any adult may submit a nomination detailing the senior’s accomplishments, community service activities, and generally what makes them a cool kid. 

Coach of the Year:  Please consider nominating a fantastic colleague who is deserving of the title Coach of the Year.  This person can be a head or assistant coach who represents the best of Iowa forensics.  Nominations can come from both students and adults.  Please encourage your students to be involved with this!

Executive Committee Nominations:  Coaches may self-nominate to serve on the IHSFL Executive Committee.  Please include a brief statement telling the membership about yourself and why you want to serve on the committee. Three seats are up for election this year.

The make-up of the current committee is as follows: Megan Johnson (president, Iowa City West), Dave McGinnis (WDM Valley), Jesse Meyer (CR Kennedy), Joe Rankin (Bettendorf), and Warren Sprouse (CR Wash).

Term up in 2017: Dave McGinnis, Jesse Meyer, Warren Sprouse + Megan Johnson is resigning so there will be four spots available. 

All nominations should be e-mailed to Megan Johnson at johnson.megan@iowacityschools.org by noon on Monday, February 26. She will compile all of the nominations and send them out for voting.
