Resolutions

Round 1: The United States federal government should enact legislation to eliminate all debt owed by the government of Puerto Rico.

Round 2: The United States federal government should re-institute the assault weapons ban.

Round 3: Japan should repeal Article 9 of its Constitution. 

Round 4: The European Union should take significant action supporting greater autonomy and/or self-determination for Kurdistan.

Round 5: The United States federal government should enact into law the Medicare for All Act of 2017 (S.1804)

Round 6: The United States federal government should reinstitute the Fairness Doctrine.

 First Elim: The United States federal government should significantly increase its efforts to thin forests within its borders

Second Elim: The United Nations Security Council should impose sanctions on Myanmar 

Third Elim: The United States should significantly scale back the size and/or scope of AFRICOM’s mission.

Fourth Elim: The United States federal government should significantly increase its regulation of the nursing home industry.

Fifth Elim: The United States should amend its constitution to give Congress the authority to override, with a supermajority of both houses, presidential pardons and commutations.
