CONGRESS REMINDERS

* Here is the link to the CONGRESS LEGISLATION!

• The congress docket will be set on Monday, March 9 at 5pm. One student representative from each district will meet to finalize the docket. Here is thezoom link for those students.
• There will be a training for all congress judges at 11am on Saturday, March 14 from Meykia Mittag. Here is the link to the judge training.
• Please remember chargers, extension cords, and battery packs! The use of technology is allowed-- but the tournament is not responsible for making sure you have access. This is your responsibility.

Docket:

The student docket setting committee met 3/9 and came up with the docket for state along with some general rules. Please note that what they have listed and noted, in conjunction with the Bound for State Regulations followed by the NSDA rules for Congressional Debate. As always if you have any additional questions, concerns or feedback please do not hesitate to reach out to Meykia Mittag or Dave Smith.

Also, this Saturday 3/14, we will have judge and parli training ahead of state for Congress judges so if you or your judges are looking for more information please encourage attendance.

Rules:

-No adding or altering of the docket as presented and selected by the committee

- No bills carry over from session to session, bills debated in previous session can not be debated in a new session

- No taking 5 minute recess/caucus specifically for splits (if recess is taken after a natural break and splits is taken, that is fine)
