Hotel

This year we are using the West Des Moines Marriott. They've given us a great rate and have set aside a large block of rooms.

The Sophomore Throw-Down as well as quarters, semis and finals of LD and policy debate will take place at the West Des Moines Marriott. Registration on Friday night is also at the Marriott. (The varsity round robin will take place at the WDM Library again; see link above.)

Please plan to stay at our tournament hotel. As with most events, our ability to provide reduced rates as well as to host elimination rounds depends on our filling the hotel block.

Quarters pairings in policy and LD will be released at the WDM Marriott on Sunday evening, along with the full bracket in each event.

Reservations at the Marriott:

We will be using the  West Des Moines Marriott for this year's edition of the Mid-America Cup.  

The deadline for reserving hotel rooms under our block is Thursday, September 14, 2017.  

To reserve rooms:

By calling Hotel's toll free Reservation Line , 866-202-9771, individuals can make their own reservations.  For individuals to receive the established Group rate, they must identify themselves as members of the (Mid-America Cup 2017 Debate Tournament) group initially when making the reservation.  All reservations must be received by the group’s cut-off date. Reservations made after the cut-off date will be subject to availability and the most available rate. 

Reservations by attendees must be received on or before Thursday, September 14, 2017.

However, there are a limited number of rooms available in the block - so please reserve early!
