A message from our Host

This is Jeff Silva, coach at Ambassador High School. Saturday’s Congress tournament will be held on our campus at 2300 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance 90501. The main entrance to the school is at Crenshaw and S.C. ROC (next to Wilson Park). Once you enter, proceed straight ahead, past the buildings, and park in the back.

Students will have two options for gathering spaces:

1. The covered outdoor snack area at the southwest corner of campus. (It will be chilly!)

2. The Board Room, located on the second floor of Building B. Building B is the first building on the right as you enter campus.

Judges will be in room B101 (southwest side of campus behind the snack area).

Tab and Coaches will be in Ambassador’s Main Office in Building B (there will be signage).

There will be Ambassador students on campus to help direct you. It’s a small campus, so finding debate rooms should not be too difficult.

Ambassador will not be selling food, so please remind students to bring water and snacks. There are some vending machines in the snack area. In addition, immediately south of campus (about 30 yards) is the Torrance Star Plaza. There is a Starbucks, Lee’s Sandwiches, an acai bowl place, JJ Bakery, Boba Time, and other options. There are even food options at Wilson Park’s Farmer’s Market (immediately north of campus).
