Judging Obligations

Lincoln Douglas — 3 rounds per entry

Public Forum — 3 rounds per entry

Policy — 3 rounds per entry

Speech — 1 judge per 5 entries

All judges are obligated throughout the entire tournament in order to best ensure the highest quality of judging.

Judge Bond — $100

The judge bond ensures that schools fulfill their judging obligation. If a judge does not show up for a round, the school forfeits their judge bond. The judge bond, as long as it is not used, only needs to be paid for one of the GFCA tournaments. As long as the judge bond is not used, the judge bond will be applied to dues for the 2023-2024 season. If the school prefers that the judge bond not be used for next year's dues, they can request the judge bond to be refunded.
