UIL District Qualifier

for the 2023 National Tournament

Judge Bond

Our district requires a judge bond of $250. This bond is to ensure that all school judges pick up their required ballots and we can successfully complete the tournament. There are three options to "paying" this judge bond.

1) Include it in your entry fee check and after the tournament, we will write you a check if your school did not have any judging issues at the tournament. This check will get cashed by the district, but you'll get a refund check as well.

2) Include a separate school check for the judge bond. In this case, we will hold the check and return it to you if there are no judging issues.

3) Include a separate personal check for the judge bond. In this case, we will hold the check and return it to you (or destroy it) if there are no judging issues.

Our goal is to return ALL judge bonds. But because this is our national qualifiers, we HAVE to make sure that we have judges throughout the tournament. If you hire judges to represent your school, please know that they represent your school and you are responsible for them!

If you need the judge bond removed from your invoice and need it separated, please let me know and I'll remove it.
