AND WE'RE BACK! About 2:30pm yesterday, internet was restored to DMPS with the messaging that "we do not anticipate an future loss of services." Unless more of the unexpected happens, we are back to the usual -- in-person tournament with electronic balloting.

At this time Des Moines Public Schools do not have internet. If there is no internet in time for the tournament, be prepared for the following:

-- Paper ballots for all events.

In this case, you'd bring your ballots to Tab or send them with student runners.

--Rounds manually posted and announced in Student Lounge area.

-- Extemp Prep to use hotspot. Students must be able to connect to the Alcatel hotspot provided if they don't bring their own.

-- BYO hotspots and / or phones if you plan to use internet resources beyond Extemp Prep.
