Extemp Debate Rules / Procedures

Students competing in Extemp debate will receive the resolution via a text/email blast 30 minutes prior to the posted start time for each round. The resolution should also be viewable via the public-facing tabroom.com page at this time. Student then have the 30 minutes until the official start time for the round to prepare for the debate. There is no preparation room for extemporaneous debate – students are permitted to prepare wherever they choose. They may access the internet but are not required to do so. Competitors must report to their assigned competition room before the posted round start time for the round.
