Speech (2/11) Schedule and Information

We will accelerate the schedule whenever possible and appropriate. Please check Tabroom.com's pairings for the latest information on the day of the tournament - this is a rough estimate.

Good afternoon,

Hope you are having a great tournament so far. We are going to panel the semifinal rounds of speech events and we are going to do the semifinal rounds of speech staggered. Here is the updated schedule, with Extemp Draw happening 30 minutes ahead of the round start time.

2:00 PM 7L Semifinals (or finals for events under 25 entries)

3:30 PM Park Semifinals (or finals for events under 25 entries)

5:00 PM (or ASAP) all Final Rounds (for events over 25 entries)

This should make very little functional difference in the schedule. It should actually slightly space it out.

Due to the size of the tournament and the space required to host everybody, we are going to shift to a more traditional speech schedule. We will alternate prelim rounds of 7L and Park IEs. 7L IEs will begin at 8 am. Park IEs will begin at 9:30 am. 7L Round 2 will begin at 11 am. Park Round 2 will be at 12:30 pm. Extemp draw will begin 30 minutes before each of the IE time slots. We are planning to hold all semis and finals of IEs at the original times, and will accelerate the schedule as needed/necessary.

Saturday, February 11 - in person @ Seven Lakes HS

7:30 am - Extemp Draw, 7L DX, IX, NX

8:00 am - Round 1 7L IEs

9:00 am - Extemp Draw, Park DX, IX, NX

9:30 am - Round 1 Park IEs

10:30 am - Extemp Draw, 7L DX, IX, NX

11:00 am - Round 2 7L IEs

12:00 pm - Extemp Draw, Park DX, IX, NX

12:30 pm - Round 2 Park IEs

1:30 pm - Extemp Draw, 7L/Park DX, IX, NX

2:00 pm - Semifinals 7L/Park IEs (25+ entries), Finals 7L/Park IEs (<25 entries) **all events will have a round during this timeslot on both sides of the swing.

4:30 pm - Extemp Draw, 7L/Park DX, IX, NX

5:00 pm - Finals 7L/Park IEs (25+ entries) **we will accelerate final rounds as necessary and appropriate.
