Sweepstakes Formula

The top two schools will be honored for their final placement in the overall sweepstakes.

The following formula will be used to awards sweepstakes points:

For Individual Events (including Duo/Duet):

3 points for all non-advancing semifinalists*

5 points for each finalist outside of the top three finishers

10 points for 3rd place in finals

15 points for 2nd place in finals

20 points for 1st place in finals

For Congressional Debate:

1 point for non-advancing semifinalists*

3 points for non-placing finalists

5 points for 8th-4th place in finals

10 points for 3rd place in finals

15 points for 2nd place in finals

20 points for 1st place in finals

For LD, CX, and PFD:

3 points for each non-advancing octofinalist*

5 points for each non-advancing quarterfinalist*

10 points for each non-advancing semifinalist

15 points for 2nd place overall

20 points for 1st place overall

*These points will be awarded only if the rounds happen. If not, we will skip to the next sweepstakes criteria.
