Topics

All current (Sept/Oct) topics from the NSDA will be used.  We will use both the Novice and Varsity topics in LD.  The Congress docket will come from the UDCA Congressional Legislation link and will be sent out to registered schools in September.

Judging

Please bring 1 judge for every 5 students in Congress/I.E.s and 1 PF/LD judge for every 4 teams (or any portion thereof).  Bring 1 Policy judge for every 2 teams (or any portion thereof).

Coaches, make sure your judges are trained in the events in which they will judge.  A $25.00 fine will be assessed for missing judges.  It is expected that judges stay for all rounds in the events to which they are assigned.  We are asking that judges do not disclose and that they share their critiques and comments only on the ballot, not verbally.

Awards

There will be awards for the top 5 in each event.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will receive trophies; 4th and 5th will receive finalist awards.

Concessions

Concessions – a variety of snacks, drinks and entrees like pizza and pulled pork sandwiches - will be available for purchase throughout the tournament. A meal will be provided Friday night for coaches and judges.
