Judging Obligation / Hired Judges

Judging Obligation

We are asking each team to cover their judging obligation, if possible.  That obligation would be:

1 judge for every 5 Speech entries

1 judge for every 5 Congress entries

As we are limiting school entries to 5 entries initially to maximize the number of schools in attendance, we are hoping this will help create a diverse field of judges as we attempt this first of its kind virtual reality tournament.  Judges will NOT be required to participate in the virtual reality session, please see the Tech Requirements tab for additional information.  In addition, we will be offering specific judge training sessions during our mandatory training options, please see the Mandatory Training Dates/Times tab for more information.  

Hired Judges

If you are unable to cover your judging obligation, we will have a limited number of judges available for hire at the following rates:

Speech Judges - $150 per judge

Congress Judges - $150 per judge

VictoryXR will be having a large number of staff members available throughout the tournament to assist with utilizing the ENGAGE platform, so they will not be available to judge rounds.  Please do your best to ensure we have the best field of judges possible by covering your judging obligation.  Thank you!
