Pentathlon

At the 2022 Cabot Classic Tournament, we will be offering both High School and Junior High Pentathlon. This is recognition for students who compete in 5 events at the tournament. They can compete in a number of different combinations of events; 

1st Option- 5 Individual Events (Not Including Group Events) 

2nd Option- Congress + 4 Individual Events (Not Including Group Events)

3rd Option- Debate + Congress + 3 Individual Events (Not Including Group Events) 

There will be points earned based on their success in those events.

The tiebreaker is based on getting points in the most amount of events. 

The point calculation will be as follows:

IE Events-

- Semi Finals: 5 Points

- Finals: 10 Points 

- 3rd Place: 15 Points 

- 2nd Place: 20 Points

- 1st Place: 25 Points

Congress- 

- Super Session: 5 Points 

- 4th-6th Place Placing: 10 Points

- 3rd Place: 15 Points

- 2nd Place: 20 Points

- 1st Place: 25 Points

Debate- 

- Octofinals: 5 Points 

- Quarterfinals: 10 Points 

- Semifinals: 15 Points 

- 2nd Place: 20 Points

- 1st Place: 25 Points

Debate Speakers DO NOT count towards Pentathlon.

In order to be considered for the Pentathlon, the event is $20. We will be recognizing the Top 3 Pentathlon Winners for High School and the Top 3 Pentathlon Winners for Junior High. These students will receive plaques at the award ceremony.
