Seven Lakes HS TFA IQT
2021 — Katy, TX/US
COVID Mitigation Policies
It is our hope that all schools attending have a pleasant and safe experience at the Seven Lakes IQT. In order to ensure this, it is up to all coaches and students to take steps to protect themselves as well as others. Masks are not required, but highly encouraged. We especially request masks be worn in crowded areas such as the cafeteria. In competition rooms, we encourage wearing a mask when not actively speaking.
We know these students are excited to be competing in person, please ensure that students who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 are not in attendance at the tournament. If a student begins to exhibit symptoms while at the tournament, they should be removed from the contest so as to not spread COVID or any virus.
As per the CDC, we encourage everyone to wash their hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. There are also hand sanitizer stations located around the school available for your use.
It is the obligation of a school’s coach to inform us (the tournament host) if a participating coach, judge or student tests positive for COVID-19 within CDC recommended guidelines for exposure timeline. The participating school coach should be prepared to disclose the event in which the diagnosed contestant participated. If we receive notification of exposure, we will take the necessary steps to ensure all exposed coaches, judges, and competitors are made aware.
