Duo Rules

Each Duo team may choose to perform from a single location (using one device and thus appearing on one screen) or perform from separate locations with each participant appearing on separate screens. Judges may not penalize teams who appear on split screens as compared with those who appear on one screen.

In the case of teams performing from multiple locations, partners should coordinate with each other so that the two members of the duo are placed next to one another within the NSDA Campus room. This can best be done just prior to that duo's speaking time, and is achieved by one or both members of the team leaving and reentering the room to get correct placement. The team and judges should confirm that students are correctly situated, and the team should give final confirmation by virtually pointing at each other.
