Information

Location:             Holy Trinity Catholic High School, 6608 W. Adams Avenue, Temple, Texas, 76502.

Deadlines:           Entry deadline is September 28.  Drop deadline is September 29, at 4:30 p.m.  Drops after the drop deadline will result in loss of entry fee.

From Austin or areas south of Temple: I-35 North to Exit 299 (Loop 363/Texas 36).  Take a left onto the loop.  Exit Adams toward Belton Lake.  The exit circles around and puts you up to Adams.  Turn right (west).  Holy Trinity is about a mile up on the right.

From Waco or areas north:  I-35 South to  Exit 304 for Loop 363 (the Buc-ee's exit).  Take a right onto the loop.  Exit Adams/FM 2305 toward Belton Lake.  Turn right (west).  Holy Trinity is about a mile up on the right.  Be aware of traffic between Waco and Temple.  Consider FM 2113 in Hewett and Texas 317 in Moody as an alternate route. 

Entries:              Cross entries are allowed, except in debate.  Cross-Examination Debaters may not enter Section B (Oratory, HI, DI, Duo/Duet, Informative). They may enter Congress, but their time in the sessions may be shortened.  Overall space in all events is limited, but there is no limit per school. Enter early! First come, first serve!

Judges:                Each team should provide 1 judge for every 10 entries (or part thereof) in the speech/interp events and 1 judge for every 4 debate entry.  You may buy out of your judging obligations at $50 per speech judge or $75 for a debate judge.  We will endeavor to provide quality judges AND to stay on schedule.  However, that means we need your help in making sure we have judges when we need them!

Fees:                    Entry fee is $8 per entry in each individual speech event; $10 for Duo Interp/Duet Acting; $12 for LD Debate; $15 for Public Forum Debate, $25 for Cross Examination.  $50 for each missing judge; $75 for a debate judge.  ENTRY FEE is only $5 for Extemp Commentary and Expository.

Meals:                  We will have concessions for sale throughout the day.  There are several fast-food restaurants within short driving distance.

Awards:               The top six competitors in each event will be recognized.
