8:00 am - Section A Prelims Round 1
9:45 am - Section B and C Prelims Round 1 *Extemp Draw begins and 9:15 am
11:30 am - Section A Prelims Round 2
1:15 pm - Section B and C Prelims Round 2 *Extemp Draw begins and 12:45 pm
3:00 pm - Section A Semis
4:45 pm - Section B and C Semis
6:30 pm - All IE Finals *Extemp Draw begins at 6:30 pm
All rounds will be synchronously on the NSDA Campus Platform and accelerated when possible.
Any events with 24 or fewer entries will have Finals during the Semis timeslot.
Novice Oral Interpretation: Students new to Speech and Debate with one year or less of Interp experience may compete in Novice Oral Interpretation. Regardless of entry size, we will host this event with the intention to provide students with feedback from exceptional coaches and judges to help them gain confidence in competing. There will be three preliminary rounds. The third round will take place during the semifinal round. If there are more than 10 entries, we will add a fourth finals or “showcase” round. If there are more than 24 entries, the third round will become a semifinal round.

Section A: Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Poetry, Duo Interpretation, Novice Oral Interpretation
Students may enter 2 events in this section. Students entered in section A may also enter Sections B and D OR C and D.
Section B: Humorous Interpretation, Informative Speaking, Program of Oral Interpretation, Prose, Duet Interpretation
Students may enter 2 events in this section. Students entered in section B may also enter Sections A and D.
Section C: Domestic Extemp, International Extemp, and Novice Extemp
Students may enter 1 events in this section. Students entered in section C may also enter Sections A and D.
Section D: Congressional Debate
Students may enter 2 events in this section. Students entered in section D may also enter Sections A and B OR A and C.
Section E: CX Debate, LD Debate, PF Debate, and World Schools Debate
Students may enter 1 event in this section. Student entered in this section may NOT enter any other events in any other section.
Students who cross enter do so at their own risk. It is their responsibility to make it to their rounds on time. Judges will be informed of cross entry on the ballot but if a student fails to appear within 15 minutes of the final speaker, they may "no show" the student.
