Hired Judges and Other Judge Info

Hiring

If you would like to signup to be a judge for our tournament, please fill out the form linked here. We will send an email confirming that you are hired if we need you.

General Info

All judges must have a linked Tabroom account which will be used to send ballots out throughout the tournament. 

Judges should report to their rounds a 15 minutes before the round is set to begin. If you are not in your room when it is checked, you may be removed from the round and your school fined.

School Judges

All speech/extemp judges are expected to be available for the duration of the tournament.

All debate judges are expected to be available for one round past your last entries elimination in the corresponding event.

Judge Training

The NSDA and NFHS have created some valuable resources for judging.  Implicit bias and cultural competence training are super important.  We encourage all judges to familiarize themselves with these concepts, which you can do at this website: https://www.speechanddebate.org/judge-training/
