FEES

Team Entry Fee: $75 per open team and $60 per novice team

Uncovered Team Fee: $150 per uncovered team. This will be assessed as of October 4.

Judges are obligated through one round after the last team from their school is eliminated.

Late Fee: $30 for adding a team or changing a judge after the deadline (in addition to the entry fee), or for any changes in the last 24 hours before the tournament. Entry fees for teams dropped after the "fees frozen" date will not be refunded.

Payment Deadline: Online payment should be made by 5pm, October 4th. Checks must arrive by October 4th. Otherwise, teams will be moved to the waitlist.

Fee Waiver: The Debate Society of Berkeley is committed to making the tournament accessible to all teams, regardless of means. If the entry fees would be a hardship, please fill out the fee waiver request form by 5pm on Oct 2nd.

1. Online Payment (Strongly Recommended)

Please note your name, organization, number of teams (novice & open), number of judges registered when paying online. The online payment options are Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle Transfer. Online payment should be made by 5pm, October 4th.

PayPal: search @debatesociety, or use this link, and you may transfer from a bank account or PayPal balance. If paid by credit card or debit card through PayPal, please add 3% per transaction to cover PayPal processing fees.

2. Payment in Check (Not Recommended)

Checks incur an additional $5 processing fee, please include the processing fee to the transaction.
