Email Chains Information

 To save time during rounds, we will be automating the email chains (in all divisions)!

These are encouraged but not required. Using these chains rather than setting up your own will save time. We highly recommend using email chains in the virtual world since there is no other way for your opponents to be able to see the evidence you are reading. Even if you are reading from the Core Files, your specific ordering and highlighting of evidence is likely unique and your opponent deserves each access to the evidence read in round.

The default for these chains will be the student’s CPS email from their student application. However, if any of your students would like to use an alternative email for their email chains, please have them fill out this Google Form. The initial email will still go to the CPS email, but the body will include the alternate email to include.

We tested this at the Blue/Silver conference championship in the JV and varsity divisions. Despite the process involving running about 150 lines of code each round, we were able to send out all the email chains about 3 minutes after pairings were released.
