A Bill to Replace the Verbiage “IN GOD WE TRUST” to “CONFIDENCE IN THE CONSTITUTION”

1 BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:

2 SECTION 1. Amend the phrase “IN GOD WE TRUST” from all United States Coins and

3 Currency. Amend the phrase “under God” from the United States pledge

4 of allegiance.

5 SECTION 2. The following definitions will apply:

6 1. Coins and Currency will be defined as all physical notes and coins

7 produced by the United States Treasure department that are in

8 circulation during and after the fiscal year of 2021.

9 SECTION 3. The United States Department of Treasury will oversee the enforcement

10 of this bill:

11 A. The United States’ Treasury will remove the phrase “IN GOD WE

12 TRUST” from all United States currency and coins in circulation.

13 B. The United States’ Treasury will replace the phrase “CONFIDENCE IN

14 THE CONSTITUTION” to all United States currency and coins in

15 circulation.

16 C. The phrase will be added where the Secretary of Treasury see fit. The

17 phrase shall be in all capital letters.

18 SECTION 4. The United States’ Executive Branch will enforce the amendment to the

19 United States’ flag code for all military personal, and the Executive

20 Branch’s Department of Education will enforce the amended pledge in all

21 American public schools.

22 A. The original phrase “under god” will be removed from the United

23 States Pledge of Allegiance and will be replaced by the phrase “under

24 the constitution” in its place.

25 SECTION 5. This legislation will take effect on FY 2021. All laws in conflict with this 2

6 legislation are hereby declared null and void.
