Equity Statement & Protest/Complaint Forms

James Logan Forensics supports equity and fairness in competition. We will not tolerate harassment or discrimination.

If a competitor, judge, or coach wishes to file a Rules protest or Equity complaint, follow the instructions on the appropriate form below. Please complete the correct form. As a brief explanation: equity complaints are if someone feels they have faced discrimination or harassment, while Rules protests are about the violation of competitive event rules,  like the falsification of evidence, plagiarism, etc.

We will adhere to NSDA rules (section 2 of High School Manual) for all national circuit events, this includes: Lincoln Douglas, Public Forum, Policy, DI, Duo, HI, Info, IX, NX, OO, and POI (click here to view NSDA rules). We will be following CHSSA rules & regulations for all California state events, which include Parliamentary Debate, IMP, OI, OA, and OPP (click here to view CHSSA rules).

For a Rules Protest, use
this form.
For an Equity Complaint, use this form.

Upon receipt of the above submission, the appropriate committee will convene to review the complaint and, if necessary, conduct an investigation of facts (which may include: interviews of parties involved, review of appropriate evidence, etc.). Upon completion of the investigation of the complaint, the committee will make a recommendation to the Tournament Directors who will then implement a final decision. Involved parties will then be notified of that decision.
