LCC WC Asynch Speech Procedures

All speech events (except Impromptu and Extemp) will be asynchronously recorded, though we are still holding live rounds for students to watch their competition and their own videos with the judge (similar to NSDA and UKTOC). It is highly encouraged that students attend, but it is not mandatory. Impromptu and Extemp will be held live.

For recordings, we are switching to the Classrooms.Cloud submission system. Apologies for the switch. Please have students submit their videos by 12/2 at 5pm via this link: https://tournaments.classrooms.cloud/la-costa-canyon-submit/

Students will need to be logged into the same linked Tabroom account that they are registered for the tournament under. This means all students will also need to be linked on Tabroom by 12/2 as well. 

Videos should not be any longer than 10:30 seconds, regardless of set up time before or after speaking. Videos any longer may be subject to disqualification. Videos should also be continuous, with no edits. Any perceived edits may result in disqualification.

Duo: Duo videos must follow the NSDA guidelines, meaning they must record from separate rooms. More instructions and tips can be found here: https://www.speechanddebate.org/duo-interp-split-screen-demo-nats-2020/
