Sock It to Us! - the charity continues!!

Over the past few years we have been collecting socks to give to the homeless in western PA.  Despite the pandemic, despite the unusual format of tournaments these days, we would like to see that tradition continue!

We are asking, when possible, for attending teams to donate adult-sized, new socks for later distribution to some of the homeless communities in our area.  In the past we have recognized the schools that donate the most; that recognition will not be available at the time that we hold our awards ceremony, but we can and will let you know how things turn out!

There are a few different ways that we can receive your donations:
-have them shipped to us at North Catholic (Beth Young, North Catholic HS, 1617 Rte.228, Cranberry Township PA 16066)
-drop them off at the same address
-give them to us when we make a trophy drop at your school or at some designate site

We have collected hundreds of socks over the years -- they have gone to places like The Light of Life Mission, to St. Matthew's Ministry for the Homeless (Homestead), and to downtown church ministries.  The need this year will be greater than it has been in the past; maybe this is the year that we collect more than we ever have in the past...
