We expect to cap each division of LD at 100 entries, initially allowing no more than 5 per school per division

Entry and multiple-entry limits
Speech events will be capped at 100 entries, initially allowing no more than 5 per school per event
Speech contestants are encouraged to enter multiple events since Patterns A and B never overlap in prelims. Contestants may enter two events in each pattern, so up to quadruple-entry with the following exceptions:
- Duo competitors may not be double-entered in Pattern A (to ensure partners are available at the same time)
- Extemp competitors may not be double-entered in Pattern A (to ensure they can get back to Extemp prep on time)
JV/Novice definitions
JV = second year of competitive forensics, including middle school years
Novice = first year of competitive forensics
If you have a student who does not technically fit those definitions but should still debate "down" a division, please request an exemption from the Tournament Director BEFORE the tournament.
