Hello,

          You are cordially invited to the Grand Forks Classic Speech Tournament on Saturday, March 3, 2018.  We will be running all ND events.  We would also ask that you mark your seventh and eighth graders with an asterisk, so we can award the top novice in each division.  Each student may enter no more than four events, but we will only protect draw times for those doing two events.  Each, single entry is $6.00 and each duo is $12.00.  You will need to cover a judge for every six entries, or hire @$75.00 per judge. YOU MAY PROVIDE UP TO 5 JUDGES WHO ARE ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR SCHOOL. IF YOU NEED MORE JUDGES THAN THAT, THEY MUST BE CLEAN JUDGES OR YOU WILL NEED TO HIRE.

Please make checks payable to Grand Forks Central Speech Team.(115 N 4^th St, Grand Forks, ND 58203)  You may either pay the day of the tournament, (we always welcome money) or send it to Yvonne at GFC.  Please don’t send the check to our district office.

If you would like to register, please email send your registration to Gayle Hyde at hydeg@fargo.k12.nd.us. Gayle will be handling the registration and scheduling the tournament. Send all registrations directly to her by Sunday, Feb. 25th at noon.

Fees will be assessed on Tuesday, at noon.

Registration will be from 7:30 – 8:00AM. 

We ask that you drop off and pick up at door 1, which is the main door on 4^th Street; the other entrances will be locked.  Busses can park in the teacher lot across from the ramp.

We will have a coach and judge meeting at 8:15AM.   Round one A events will include XS and EPR and draw will begin at 8:00. Round I is planned for 9. Awards are scheduled for approximately 4:30.

          Our boosters will be serving breakfast and lunch items, as well as snacks.  We ask that your students support them, as they pay for our trophies, (t-shirts) so we want to give them as much support as possible.  We look forward to seeing you at our tournament!
