Maple Grove Crimson Big Questions Invitational

2017 — Maple Grove, MN/US

The Maple Grove Debate Team is thrilled to host a Big Questions Debate Tournament on May 6th, 2017! We are absolutely delighted that you will be supporting our growing and thriving Forensics program, and we welcome you to use this tournament as recruitment for your teams next year!

We will be hoping to separate to a novice and an open division, with the novice division exclusive to brand new debaters and all other debaters entered in the open division. Once interest in this has been gauged, I will add a separate division!

The tournament will feature three rounds and a final round in Big Questions Debate! Our final round will pit the 1st and 2nd place debaters against each other, as well as the 3rd and 4th debaters. As of right now, I plan on running single flighted rounds, but I will shift to flights if judging obligations are light! Please let me know ASAP if you will have any issues with providing judges!

All divisions will debate the official Big Questions topic: Resolved: Science leaves no room for free will.

All entries will be FREE OF CHARGE!! So this is a great way to recruit new debaters and give them a taste of debate without having to pay any fees!

Please be sure to input all of your students and judges by Wednesday, May 3rd at 5:00 PM. Tabroom will still accept drops as well as adds to waitlist after that, but I'd like to know by Wednesday what I need in terms of rooms!

In order to facilitate quick and easy lunch, we will be accepting pizza orders ahead of time through Tabroom. Orders are due by Thursday, May 4th at 4:00 PM. Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza will be available for order at $12/pizza.

Let me know if you have any questions!
