South Oregon Big Questions NSDA

2017 — Grants Pass, OR/US

Dear South Oregon Speech and Debate teams,

March 4th our students will have a chance to earn a spot at Nationals through the newest debate event, Big Questions.

This is a bonus event that will be run during our NSDA Congress at Grants Pass. Please fill your entry in Congress first and then feel free to bring as many more students as you like for Big Questions.

Entries must be single person only. The topic this year is: Resolved: Science leaves no room for free will.

There is no entry fee but please bring one judge per two students if possible.

There are no limits on the number of students a school can send and these students will not count towards a school's district entry limits.

Here's a link to our FAQ that should be able to answer other questions: https://www.speechanddebate.org/big-questions-nationals-faq/.

Please see NSDA online resource page for cases and evidence on Science and Free Will. (https://www.speechanddebate.org/resources/?tag=big-questions).

Hopefully the prospect of sending another student from our district to Nationals will be exciting for all our students.

Non NSDA-members and schools may compete at the district tournament in the Big Questions qualifier. But if a non-member student qualifies at districts, they’ll just have to become a member before they can register for Nationals.
