Our fifth PFCL tournament of the season is scheduled for Friday, January 27, 2017. Special thanks to Ms. Judy Kroboth for hosting us at Downingtown EAST. This is a PCFL tournament for PCFL member schools. We will offer both varsity and junior varsity levels of competition.  Registration fees are $1 per student. 

Registration is via Tabroom.com and is due by 5pm on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.  No exceptions! Remember that nuisance fines are in force this season.

Schedule

With the Announcements (and Judge's Clinic if necessary) scheduled for 3:30, all teams should arrive and complete registration by 3:15.

Lincoln-Douglas Topics

Just a quick reminder that all divisions of Lincoln-Douglas will use the national January-February topic.

Congress

Congressional debate in both houses will begin with bill #1.

Judges

Each team is required to fulfill their judging quotas as follows

• One speech judge covers up to five speech/congress entries;
• One Lincoln-Douglas judge covers up to two LD entries;
• One policy judge covers up to two policy entries;
• One public forum judge covers up to two PFD entries.

Location Logistics 

• Please do not arrive before 3:00 PM as school is not dismissed until 2:45 pm.

• Downingtown EAST is located at 50 Devon Drive, Exton PA.  There are three high schools in Downingtown.  You must select EAST in your GPS.

• If arriving from Route 113, also known as Uwchlan Avenue from the east, turn left onto Devon drive and go past the lower parking lot (first lot on your right) continue up Devon to the first stop sign and turn right by the baseball fields. Follow the main driveway around to the left and go all the way around behind the school and continue to follow the driveway to the main entrance. Parking will be on the left and the main entrance is on the right.  All students should report to the cafeteria.

• Downingtown will be selling snacks and water on site.  Kindly pre-order your pizza via Tabroom.
