I would like to officially invite you to the third in-house event for Success Academy Middle School Debate programs. This tournament will be a fantastic opportunity for our youngest debaters in the network to strut their stuff and grow as debaters. I am very excited to see all of the fantastic work that has already been put in this year as well as the hunger to do better that drives our scholars to rise to the top.

This tournament will be hosted at Harlem East MS at 141 E.  111^th, Manhattan. The tournament will be 3 rounds where the first two are randomly paired and the third will be power matched based on win loss record (2-0 vs 2-0, 1-1 vs 1-1, 0-2 vs 0-2). There will be 2 divisions of debate as well. “Open Public Forum” can be entered by any team with no restrictions. The “Novice Public Forum” is open to 5^th graders and new to debate 6^th graders in their first tournament.

Arrival and check in for teams will be from 8:00-8:30 to allow for an on time start to the first round. Teams that do not arrive before 8:30 will be dropped from the tournament. There will be breakfast and lunch provided for the scholars. Scholars are not allowed to leave the tournament site during the tournament until they have been dismissed to their parents or in accordance with SA procedure and the consent of the parents.

• 11:00 - 11:45 - Flight A

Lunch:12:30 - 1:15

Round 3:1:15 - 2:45

• 1:15 - 2:00 - Flight A
• 2:00 - 2:45 - Flight B

Debrief:2:45 - 3:15

• Teams debrief the day at their tables

Awards Ceremony:3:15 - 3:30

Teams will dismiss immediately following the award ceremony.
