Dear Coaches:
We would like to extend an invitation to you and your team to participate in the Miami-Dade – “Friday Night Lights” - debate tournament to be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at G. Holmes Braddock HS. These tournaments are great opportunities for students who are new to forensics to participate in a “mini-tournament”. Registration will be on Tabroom.com. For new coaches, we will try to have a short workshop to address new things in the world of speech & debate!

We Will Have The Following IE Events: DEC, DP, DUO, MX, OI, OO and NEW FOR THIS TOURNAMENT – SPAR!
LD - will use the October/November LD Topic
LD – Resolved: Adolescents ought to have the right to make autonomous medical choices.
Novice Only - Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified.
PFD - will use the September / October PFD Topic
PFD - Resolved: The United States Federal Government ought to pay reparations to African Americans.
POLICY – will use the 2015-2016 National Topic
Policy Debate - Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially curtail its domestic surveillance.
Number Of Rounds: 2-3 in each event (except policy – 1 Rd)
The Tournament Will Provide Legislation For Student Congress – BUT we will also accept any legislation submitted.
Varsity Team Members Can Judge At All ASTs Unless Otherwise Noted

Awards Will Be Given Immediately Following The Tournament
