Snow Globe
2026 — Park City, UT/US
Coaches,
We are excited to host you at the 2nd Annual Snow Globe at Park City High School.
The Snow Globe will offer Novice and Varsity competition in Congress, Public Forum, Lincoln Douglas, Policy, National Extemp, Foreign Extemp, Info, Oratory, Impromptu, and SPAR. We will also offer Open competition in Dramatic, Humorous, Duo, and Program of Oral Interpretation.
Highlights of our tournament:
- We will seek a designation as a speech qualifier to the University of Kentucky's Tournament of Champions again this year.
- Elimination rounds in speech and debate.
- Qualified judging.
- Great food, reflective of Park City’s world-famous reputation for hospitality.
- Affordable off-season lodging for teams who seek a memorable travel experience.
- Outstanding awards for all participants in elimination rounds, the top 5 speakers in each debate event, and for the top 3 teams in sweepstakes.
Changes in 2026:
- The schedule is completely new and far more humane.
- We have adopted a new policy for enforcing the ban on outside assistance during debate rounds.
- Double entry is no longer permitted for students competing in PF, LD, CX, and Congress.
- We will halve the judging commitment of any school traveling more than 100 miles to compete (e.g., 1 judge per 4 in PF/LD and 1 per 10 in speech).
- Free snacks for all students will return, but our meal deal may look different -- that's TBD.
You will find pertinent tournament information under the yellow tabs on the right side of the main page.
Sincerely,
Anna Williams - Host, Director of Forensics
Gavin Serr ('18) - Tournament Director, Assistant Coach
Alex O'Brien ('23) - Assistant Tournament Director, Assistant Coach
