Dear Colleagues and Competitors,

Katy HS and Morton Ranch HS are proud to host the Tiger-Maverick Swing, a winter swing tournament in Katy ISD.

We will host two one-day tournaments.

The Katy HS Tigers tournament will be held online on Friday, January 2 in NSDA Campus. Secure your own internet connections and log in to NSDA Campus for rounds.

The Morton Ranch HS Maverick tournament will be held in-person on Saturday, January 3, at Morton Ranch High School, 21000 Franz Rd, Katy, TX 77449.

All entries will start on a waitlist. We will clear the waitlist by Friday, December 20, based on availability of hired judging and you covering your students' entries.

Because this tournament will be held during Winter Break for most of our TFA Region, we will close online registration on Friday, December 20 so that tournament staff can finalize plans and judge contracts before the Christmas and New Years' holiday. Please enter your students before the break.

We will not host WSD on the Tigers online side of the swing. All other TFA Individual Qualifying Events will be offered on both sides of the swing, as well as Prose, Poetry, and Impromptu.

During each one-day tournament, students will not be able to cross-enter between Speech and Debate events. Students will be able to cross enter between Congressional Debate and Pattern A Speech events on both sides of the swing. More information on the Tournament Schedule sidebar.

We will not break brackets in debate.

Both Katy HS and Morton Ranch HS reserve the right to enter our own students at our tournament, but we do not anticipate those numbers being substantial.
