You are invited to attend the Blue Valley West Novice Invitational on Saturday, November 15th, 2025. This is a novice-only tournament limited to students in their first year of debate participation. Participating teams will be limited to the NDCA Novice Packet Case-list.
There will be four rounds of debate. The top six teams will receive medals. Teams should be prepared to debate in front of both lay judges and responsible/successful junior/senior debaters.
Tournament Guidelines

The tournament will be a cross-examination style, with 8-3-5 time limits and 8 minutes of prep time.

Every school entered in the tournament is required to have a responsible adult in charge for the whole day. Coaches and sponsors will be asked to judge if necessary.

Tournament management reserves the right to handle any difficulties or matters not clarified in the invitation in a manner that seems fair to us.
Entry Procedure
All entry fees are $5.00 per team. The registration deadline is November 12th.
We will allow 6 entries without a judge burden. Anything past 6, we either require one judge per 6 entries or portion thereof or your entries will remain waitlisted.
All entries will initially be placed on the waitlist. We will initially allot 6 entries per school. We will admit as many extra entries as possible. The tournament is capped at 30 rooms.

Concessions
We will not be able to offer concessions during the tournament. Please plan accordingly!
