Welcome to the Parkland High School Tournament
The tournament will be in person at Parkland HS on Saturday, November 15th.
Parkland High School
5932 Quail Ave.
El Paso, TX 79924
We will be offering the complete set of events in IE’s and LD and PF debate.
If any events fail to meet qualifying numbers, then the event will be dropped.
All schools are limited to 4 in all events. There will be a waitlist to put additional entries above the initial 4 and we will clear the waitlist if we need entries to make numbers (we absolutely want every event to have enough entries to get points for state!) or if we can do so without drastically increasing our judge numbers, so please put any additional entries who would like to compete in an event on the waitlist!
Please refer to the schedule for event times and cross entry rules. All cross-entries are at the student’s own risk. If a student does not make their round on-time they may be dropped, regardless of the reason. Students may be marked as a no-show if they have not shown up to a round within 60 minutes of the start time, and students who sign into their rounds must perform within 90 minutes of the rounds start time. In debates, students may be marked as a no-show after 15 minutes.
Out-rounds will be paneled only if we have enough judges available.
We will break brackets in debate out-rounds.
Please remember that all coaches are required to judge as much as possible, and any adult who is on campus with your team (including parents who are there to observe) will be expected to judge.
Parkland HS students will be participating in events at this tournament.
We will do our best to accelerate the schedule if/when possible, so please pay close attention to the postings and updates.
For those of you that register, stay tuned for updates on parking and security identification procedures.
We look forward to seeing you!
Out rounds will be paneled only if we have judges available.
Brackets will be broken in debate.
LD and PF will be using the November/December resolutions.
