Berkley High School 2025 Debate Invitational

Berkley High School is located at 2325 Catalpa, Berkley, MI 48072.

ENTRY AND REGISTRATION:

Registrationwill close on Wednesday, November 19^th , 2025, AT 5:00 PM. Drops after close will be assessed the original fees. The tournament will occur in person at Berkley HS.

DIVISIONS:

Policy: Open and Novice Divisions

Public Forum: Open, Novice, and Middle School Divisions

If there are not enough teams to fill a division, we reserve the right to combine. All debate events depend on having enough entries.

TOPICS:

Policy: Resolved: The United States federal government should significantly increase its exploration and/or development of the Arctic.

We will require that all novice policy teams use the National Debate Coaches Association(NDCA) packet.

Public Forum: Resolved: The United States federal government should require technology companies to provide lawful access to encrypted communications.

TOURNAMENT FEES:

Policy: $45 per 2-person team. (UDL team fees are waived)

Public Forum: $30.00 per 2-person team
